The 1st and 2nd Factories of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand were founded in 1992 and 1996 respectively, and the area very near to Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi Province was selected as their location fully meeting the strategy of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation to turn Thailand to be export hub towards all over the world. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, a pioneer of exporting “Made in Thailand” vehicles to all over the world, has newly opened its 3rd Factory in 2012 at location adjacent to the 1st and 2nd Factories, which surely represents their incomparable significance in global strategy of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.

Having cared for the importance of ecology and economy vehicle production, the third assembly factory adopts the aqueous coating system for the environmental friendly paint process work. Besides we increase the machine equipment ratio, previously 8 percentages in the first and second factory, to 40 percentages in the third factory for the higher level productive and suitable for raw material and upper technology to produce Global Small or Eco Car.

At present, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has 3 assembly factories and 1 engine factory in the Laemchabang Industrial Estate. The presence of all these units has elevated the Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s status to be ‘Global Production Base’. The three assembly factories are comprehensive, consistent and advanced under the concept “Friendly with Environment and Lean Manufacturing”
